The OLYMPUS 72DL PLUS Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is a high-performance ultrasonic NDT instrument designed for fast, precise measurement of material, coating, paint and multilayer thicknesses. Originally introduced by Olympus and now supported under the Evident product portfolio, the 72DL PLUS combines high-speed measurement, advanced ultrasonic processing and a large touchscreen interface in a portable industrial instrument.
Available in Standard Frequency and High-Frequency configurations, the gauge can work with single-element transducers from 0.2–30 MHz in standard configurations and up to 125 MHz with the high-frequency model. The high-frequency version is particularly suited to ultra-thin materials and coatings.
With optional Multilayer Measurement software, the instrument can simultaneously display the thickness of up to six independent layers, making it useful for advanced coating, paint, plastic and composite-material inspection.
