The Olympus Vanta Max GeoChem Handheld XRF Analyzer is a professional portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) instrument designed for rapid elemental and geochemical analysis directly in the field. The Vanta Max is the highest-performance model in the current Vanta handheld XRF range and is designed for mining exploration, mineral analysis, soil testing, environmental analysis and grade control.
The Vanta Max uses a high-sensitivity silicon drift detector (SDD) and application-optimized X-ray tube configurations. The current range includes a 4 W rhodium-anode configuration operating from 8–50 kV, as well as a 55 kV tungsten-anode configuration designed to provide enhanced sensitivity for rare-earth and heavier elements.
The analyzer can provide rapid elemental measurements at exploration and mining sites, helping geologists evaluate rocks, soils, drill samples and other geological materials without having to send every sample to a laboratory first.
