What is the SciAps X-5 used for?
It is used for elemental analysis of alloys, scrap metals, precious metals, soil, mining samples, RoHS materials, automotive catalysts and industrial lead paint.
Can the X-5 identify stainless steel and other alloys?
Yes. It is designed for many PMI and alloy-sorting applications, including stainless steels, low-alloy steels, Cr/Mo steels, high-temperature alloys and red metals.
Does the X-5 measure light elements such as magnesium, aluminum, silicon, sulfur and phosphorus?
The standard X-5 is designed for users who do not require those low-atomic-number elements in alloys. For applications requiring stronger light-element performance, SciAps offers other X-Series configurations.
Does the analyzer include cameras?
Yes. It includes a sample-viewing camera and a macro-camera for documentation, barcode reading and QR-code storage.
Can the X-5 be connected to a computer or cloud system?
Yes. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and can work with SciAps Profile Builder and optional cloud data-management tools
